environment stems from the fact that we live here among the
mountains and our livelihood depends on the balance of the
delicate ecosystem which the Himalayan hosts. We use only
LPG gas and kerosene burning stoves for cooking. Our meals
are designed to favor local foods thereby considerably
minimizing packaging wastes and fuel consumption. All
non-biodegradable garbage is carried out and disposed off in
a responsible & environmental friendly manner. Also, the
welfare of our porters & staff is also given due concern. We
have set strict and comprehensive guidelines for ourselves
regarding Eco-tourism practices in our operations. |

Barap Namgyal Bhutia is the Founder and
Managing Director of Sikkim Holidays tour Trek and
Expedition, He gained his Tourism experience through working
in the India and Sikkim Tourism Industry for many years as a
Tour Guide and Tour Operation Manager. He is been awarded
with the highest award in India President Award twice and
State Award for his social work activities and active
involvement in youth adventure programmed as a Boy Scout. He
started Sikkim Holydays Tour and Travel with a group of
young Sikkimes Tourism professionals. |
