Ladakh is appropriately
called "Little Tibet" and provides the perfect
setting for challenge and discovery in a wild
lunar landscape.Our 26 days Zanskar trek
provides a mix of adventure and culture.On this
trek, we not only cover Ladakh at its best but
we also scale heights in Manali.This trek is
unique because it covers two most scenic areas
of Himalayas, viz., Himachal and Ladakh.One also
gets a chance to stay and interact with the
locals of both these regions.

Day 1 (New Delhi, India):
Arrive Delhi. Meet Himalayan Trekker
representative. Transfer to Hotel. Visit Agra,
The Taj Mahal. Evening back to Delhi. |

Day 2 (Chandigarh):
On day 3 of South Zanskar Trek we take train to
Chandigarh, jeep to Pinjore, stay overnight at
Hotel. |

Day 3 (Manali):
Jeep to Manali, on arrival check in at Hotel.
Overnight at Hotel. |
|

Day 4 (Manali):
Day at Leisure in Manali, Overnight at Hotel. |

Day 5 (Kullu):
Day free in the Kullu valley, to explore the
surrounding region. |
|

| |
Day 6 (Rohtang Pass):
Travel by jeep over 3978 metre Rohtang Pass, the
gateway to the Lahaul valley, to Darcha. |
|

| |
Day 7 (Rarig):
Trek to Rarig, a prosperous farming village. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Day 8 (Nyaraki):
On the day 8 of South Zanskar Trek, we trek to
Zanskar Sumdo where we camp by the shore of the
raging Barai Nallah. |
|

|
| |
Day 9 (Shingo La):
After crossing the Barai Nallah by cable bridge,
we trek to Shingo La base camp. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Day 10 (Shingo La):
Day for resting and acclimatization. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Day 11 (Lakang):
Trek over 5080 metre Shingo La to the high
pasture of Lakang. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Day 12 (Zanskar):
We continue downvalley in the shadow of the
massive arrow-shaped Gumbaranjon (peak) to
Kargyak, one of the highest villages in Zanskar. |

| |
Day 13 (Testha):
On the 14th day of South Zanskar trek we trek to
the village of Testha. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Day 14 (Purni):
Trek to Purni, where the Kargyak and Tsarap
rivers merge to form the mighty Lingti Chu. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Day 15 (Phugtal Gompa):
Trek to Phugtal gompa, one of the world's most
spectacular sights. Its location, spilling down
a sheer cliff face from the mouth of a massive
cave, is a staggering one. |
|

| |
Day 16 (Phirtse La):
Trek to the friendly village of Tangtse, at the
base of the gorge leading to Phirtse La. |
|

|
|
| |
Day 17 (Shingsaw):
On this day of South Zanskar trek we trek to
Shingsaw, the base camp for our pass crossing. |
|

|
|
| |
Day 18 (Phirtse La):
Trek over Phirtse La (5350 m) to base camp. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Day 19 (Chumik Marpo):
Trek to Chumik Marpo. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Day 20 (Yunan River):
Trek to Sarchu Serai, on the banks of the Yunan
river. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Day 21 (Kilang Sarai):
Trek to Kilang Sarai, where we meet the Manali
to Leh military road. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Day 22 (Lahaul):
We travel by jeep to Keylong, the capital and
administrative center of Lahaul. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Day 23 (Rohtang Pass):
Continue by jeep over Rohtang Pass to Manali. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Day 24 (Manali):
Rest day in Manali. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Day 25 (Kullu):
Jeep to Kullu, then a spectacular flight to
Delhi, on arrival check in at Hotel. Stay
overnight at Hotel. |

Day 26 (New Delhi, India):
Depart New Delhi. Transfer to airport for flight
to onwards journey. South Zanskar Trek concludes |

Trek cost Include:
>Accommodation on full bord basis in Darjeeling,
Kalingpong and Gangtok.
>All internal transport in Sikkim
>Gear package includeing Kit bag max 15kg per
person.
>Gear Package include kit bag,sleeping Bag, down
jacket and insulated mat while trekking.
>Trek = tented camp with the services of our trek
crew, camping equipment
>Services of a professional guide and trekking staff
>Poters Dzo or Horse to carry all gear max 20Kg for
Poters and 50Kg for Pack Animals.

and Deserts every Day during the Trek and at Lachen
